IS GOVERNMENT-RUN HEALTHCARE CONSTITUTIONAL?
By John Parker
If asked, representatives/sentators will probably say they are authorized
under Art. I, Sec. 8 of the US Constitution. Oh no! They are not,
for if that were truly so, then the Constitution would be quite short
indeed! "The Congress of the US is empowered to promote the general
welfare." Then everything else they chose to do would flow from that.
Instead, even the "general welfare" clause has extreme restrictions,
as pointed out by Madison and Jefferson when they were promoting the
passage of the Constitution. They feared, as we do today, a "too
powerful" federal government. Here is some relevant data, which
liberals and socialist choose to ignore. Citations are to the
documents themselves, Madison and Jefferson, and some modern day
patriots, Walter E. Williams and Thomas Sowell.
Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution reads: "The Congress shall
have
Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Impost, Excises to pay the
Debts
and provide for the common Defense and general Welfare of the United
States."
However, the "father of our constitution", James Madison, said this of
the"general welfare" clause. "If Congress can do whatever in their
discretion
can be done by money, and will promote the general welfare, the
government
is no longer a limited one possessing enumerated powers, but an
indefinite
one subject to particular exceptions."
He went on to say, "With respect to the two words 'general welfare,' I
have always regarded them as qualified by the detail of powers
connected
with them. To take them in a literal and unlimited sense would be a
metamorphosis of the Constitution into a character which there is a
host
of proofs was not contemplated by its creators."
Thomas Jefferson said, "Congress has not unlimited powers to provide
for
the general welfare, but only those specifically enumerated."
Sir/Madam, given the Framers' design and intent for the powers of the
Federal Government, and seeing that their intent with the "general
welfare" clause was not to grant the Federal Government unlimited
power,
what do you think is your constitutional authority to propose a
federal
government takeover of the health care sector, approximately 20% of
our
GDP?
Further info:
James Madison vetoed a $15,000 congressional allocation to French
refugees, saying that, "I cannot undertake to lay my finger on that
article of the Constitution which granted a right to Congress of
expending, on objects of benevolence, the money of their
constituents...
Madison ought to know if the constitution had that authority.
Article I, Section 8, enumerates the powers of the federal government.
The Tenth Amendment to the Constitution further clarifies I.8, and its complete text is, "The powers not delegated to the United States by
the
Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."
Article 5 of the Constitution lays out the requirements to amend the Constitution.
The representative/senator will then say, "Are you for or against Social Security/Medicare"? I would reply that we are discussing the federal
government takeover of 20% of the economy, and that Social Security is
not an amendment to the constitution nor does it contain enabling
legislation
to take over the health care sector.

VAN JONES IS A RADICAL FASCIST AND MUST BE FIRED
September 3, 2009
In April 2008 Van Jones said “One of the things that has happened I think too often to progressives is that we don’t understand the relationship between minimum goals and maximum goals. Uh, right after Rosa parks, uh refused to give up her seat, if the civil rights leaders had jumped out and said ok now we want, uh, reparations for slavery, we want redistribution of all wealth, and we want to legalize mixed marriages, that had been their, they would have come out with a maximum program, the very next day, they would have been laughed at, um instead they came out with a very minimum program, uh, you know we just want to integrate these buses, uh, the students a few years later dame out with a very minimum program. We just want to sit at the lunch counter, but, inside that minimum demand was a very radical kernel that eventually meant that from 1954-1968, you know, complete revolution was on the table, uh, for this country and I think that this green movement has to pursue those same steps, and stages.
Right now we’re saying we want, uh, to move from suicidal grey capitalism to some kind of uh, eco-capitalism where, uh, you know, at least we’re not; you know fast-tracking destruction of the whole planet. Um, will that be enough? No it won’t be enough, we want to go beyond ex-systems of exploitation and oppression altogether but that’s a process, and I think what’s great about uh, the movement that’s beginning to emerge is that the crisis is so severe in terms of joblessness, violence, and now ecological threats that people are willing to be both very pragmatic and very visionary and uh, so the green economy will start off as a small subset and uh, we’re going to push it and push it and push it um, until it becomes an engine for transforming the whole society.”
Valerie Jarrett, close personal friend and Senior Advisor to President Obama said Obama is like a brother to her. Every policy goes through Valerie’s hands. In August 2009 Valerie Jarrett introduced Van Jones; “We are so delighted to be able to recruit him into the White House; we’ve been watching him, uh, really since as long as he has been active out in Oakland in all the ways he has, the creative ideas he has, and so now we have captured that.”
Van Jones is also a 911 Truther. After the 911 attacks the 911 Truthers demanded a call for immediate inquiry into evidence that suggests high-level government officials may have deliberately allowed the September 11th attacks to occur. http://www/911Truth.org 46th signature on the 911 Truther’s demand for inquiry is that of Van Jones.

My Response to A Perfectly Designed Puddle: Glenn Beck's Delusions by Brian Coalson
http://perfectlydesignedpuddle.blogspot.com/2009/08/glenn-becks-delusions.html
Typical of leftists, you must begin your response to my tweets with an insult. I boast about being the daughter of a Vietnam Veteran because I am extremely proud of my father. You only addressed a few of Glenn Beck's questions...I wonder why? I actually spent quite a bit of time researching the information that Glenn Beck provided and found facts that backup his claims. Here are a few:
Mark Lloyd believes we should use Chavez media control. Look at this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ysqsa_TeLys
Van Jones – Arrested twice for rioting, leader and founder of a radical group, the communist revolutionary organization Standing Together to Organize a Revolutionary Movement, or STORM.
Speaking to the East Bay Express, Jones said he first became radicalized in the wake of the 1992 Rodney King riots.
"I was a rowdy nationalist on April 28th, and then the verdicts came down on April 29th," he said. "By August, I was a communist."
"I met all these young radical people of color -- I mean really radical, communists and anarchists. And it was, like, 'This is what I need to be a part of.'
"We agreed with Lenin's analysis of the state and the party," reads the manifesto. "And we found inspiration in the revolutionary strategies developed by Third World revolutionaries like Mao Tse-tung and Amilcar Cabral."
One day after the 9/11 attacks, President Obama's "green jobs czar" led a vigil that expressed solidarity with Arab and Muslim Americans as well as what he called the victims of "U.S. imperialism" around the world.
Ezekiel Emanuel: Deny Coverage to Elderly and Disabled for the Greater Good
"Conversely, services provided to individuals who are irreversibly prevented from being or becoming participating citizens are not basic and should not be guaranteed. An obvious example is not guaranteeing health services to patients with dementia. A less obvious example is guaranteeing neuropsychological services to ensure children with learning disabilities can read and learn to reason." ~ Ezekiel Emanuel
"The obligation to participate in biomedical research makes reasonable demands on all individuals in a society." ~ Ezekiel Emanuel

"A smart border collie, he says, is worth more, inherently, than a retarded child." ~ Cass Sunstein
"In what sense is the money in our pockets and bank accounts fully ‘ours’?" ~ Cass Sunstein
A President who surrounds himself with people like Reverend Jeremiah Wright, Bill Ayers, and the Czars mentioned above is not a President we can trust to follow the U.S. Constitution. If his Czars are reputable, why not "officially" appoint them to his administration and allow them to go through the Congressional vetting process?
Thank you for explaining why we need a Civilian National Security Force. However, it doesn't really make sense. Why the word "Security" and why the need to be as big and powerful as our Armed Forces? I would like to hear an explanation from the President.
Why isn't the press covering these issues? Must I remind you the majority of news organizations are in "LOVE" with Obama. Thank God for Glenn Beck on Fox News who is brave enough to question the President. By the way, the White House has not disputed any of the facts other than some of the people mentioned shouldn't be called "Czars".
Also, let's allow Black Panthers who clearly intimidated voters to go free and investigate CIA officers who were doing their job saving American lives.

Orlando Tea Party Protesters Target Big Government
August 23, 2009
Orlando, FL (United States Passengers) - I attended the Orlando Tea Party on August 22, the same day King George III proclaimed the American Colonies to be in open rebellion 234 years ago in 1775. The support and patriotism displayed by protesters at the event was overwhelming and inspiring.
The Floridians Unite Tea Party was well attended, with thousands of protesters sitting in and around the Lake Eola amphitheater, marching, waving flags, cheering and signing petitions. The “mob” was extremely respectful and as far as I know there were no incidents. Acorn and SEIU representatives failed to attend.
Speakers included Lloyd Marcus, Dr. David McKalip, Tom Gaitens, Joyce Mucci, Adam Guillette, Bob Samson, and special guest, Hulk Hogan. Their message was united in calling for smaller government, particularly speaking against a public healthcare system, cap-and-trade, and continued spending. Additionally, speakers urged the crowd to contact their Congressmen and Senators, and to support state bills, such as state constitutional amendment HJR37 that protects Floridians from federal healthcare bills.
"We want less government, we want people to be responsible and we want responsible leadership and government is just taking over our lives," said Billie Tucker who traveled all the way from Jacksonville to take part in this tea party protest. Attendees traveled from all over Florida to attend the Orlando event.
One emotional moment for me was reading a flyer from an anonymous American Indian walking around the event. The memo explains how the Federal Run American Indian Healthcare System allowed her mother to die before her time. They cut off her cancer treatment due to her age; she was only 62 years old. Click here to read entire flyer that I retyped.
The event was a huge success, but as the speakers mentioned, it is not the end of our efforts to fight against big government and socialist bills. Continue to fight the good fight!

An Open Letter to the Legislators of the United States of America
Do you know who you are? I certainly hope so because you stand at the intersection of freedom and control and it is you who have the responsibility to assist in making the decisions that will determine the highway this country will travel. It is your voice that will cry out from the capital; follow me to freedom or cower with me in the corner as choice is slowly ripped from the heart of a country and its people are held captive by those who thirst for power denies its subjects free will.
You know exactly what I am talking about. You are old enough to remember when freedom was a prized possession and you have watched as a citizen and participated as a legislator as this country has gradually unburdened itself from the price of freedom in exchange for a free ride. Only the ride isn’t really free, it simply seems without price to those who are unwilling to act in any other way than to scavenge after selfishness. Such people are easily satisfied and easily led into the chains of control.
Fortunately most Americans know well the burden of freedom and are willing to pay the price for themselves and even for those who are unwilling to pay it at all. Freedom’s price is to stand up and be counted as one who loves liberty and abhors the cunning craftiness of those whose design is to destroy and defeat the ability to make choices thereby stealing from all of us the responsibility to be held accountable. If the price is not paid by its citizens the United States of America becomes the country, we as children, were taught to fear.
Today the debate rages about health care, but the issue is not really about health care, that is merely the cloak de jour in which the issue is wrapped, yesterday it was dressed in stimulus money, tomorrow it will wear the clothing of cap and trade; the issue is about freedom and you can feel it in your soul. You have seen both political parties, over the years, legislate away the ability to make choices and we as a people have stood by and allowed it as you in the legislature have participated in wrapping morsels of food in layers of garbage and calling it good.
Now in the streets and in town halls across America you see men and women who are starving because of the actions of legislators; they are starving for freedom and they are fighting back against those who seek to blind their minds, chain their hopes, and control their ability to choose. These are people who when called upon to sacrifice will do so willingly. These are men and women who want to trust you to stand up and to be able to sacrifice your own self interest for the freedom of your fellow citizens and the liberty of our nation.
Do you know who you are? If what has been said rings true in your heart then you are a patriot and you have a job to do and we expect you to do it correctly. You must choose freedom and you must stand against what you feel in your soul is wrong even if it’s dressed in the fashions of the hour and solicits your company or rewards your ambition. If you find what has been said to be repulsive then you are either drunk with your own power or you are a coward willing to be controlled by those who seek to destroy us. We will be watching and praying for you to make correct choices based upon correct principles which will then allow us to properly govern ourselves. We are Americans. Who are you?
Sincerely,

Overwhelming Hypocrisy
By Traci Thompson, August 6, 2009
The hypocrisy displayed by the Obama Administration, Democrats, the far left media and others about town hall audiences and concerned citizens protesting the Democratic-sponsored bill on health care reform is overwhelming. President Obama is the most deceitful of the group.
Taking lessons from Saul Alinksy, [a liberal who became famous for developing strategies and tactics that take unfocused energy of grassroots groups and transform it into effective anti-government and anti-corporate activism], Barack Obama often organized protests and confronted officials with insistent citizens to protect community interests in Chicago. Among Alinksy’s “Rules for Radicals”, are principles to create an emotional commitment to victory - no matter what.
Additionally, it is no secret that Barack Obama acted as a “leadership trainer” for Acorn, or that he held seats on boards of foundations that may have supported Acorn. Acorn has an “anti-capitalism” agenda and its tactics are notoriously “in your face”. A few of Acorn’s most notable protests are disrupting Federal Reserve hearings and sending four busloads of profanity-screaming protestors to a Baltimore Mayor’s home, terrorizing his family. It is indisputable that Acorn’s efforts and protests are organized; one must simply watch video of their protests to understand the difference between their operations and the rather unorganized efforts of the “conservative" "mobs” showing up at town hall meetings this week due to their strong concerns about the proposed “public option” health care bill.
The recent health care protests that have been described as “astroturf”, “manufactured”, “orchestrated”, and “organized” would have been glorified by the media if they had been organized by left leaning groups protesting a conservative bill, and the sponsors would not even have been questioned.
After I read an advertisement for the Florida Statewide Rally for Healthcare Reform (Take Action August) on the Health Care for America Now website, I knew that I had to write an article to express my anger about this issue. Why the anger? The advertisement includes the statement “Floridians from throughout Florida are coming together for Florida's LARGEST mobilization for healthcare reform yet! Buses are being organized for rides as well.” How anyone could overlook this hypocrisy is beyond me.
It is my hope that reasonable Democrats will see through the divisive tactics of the far left in attempting to discredit the legitimate concerns of American citizens. I would also like to know what President Obama and Speaker Pelosi think about the Florida Statewide Rally for Healthcare Reform.
Nancy Pelosi says "astroturf" protesters are "carrying swastikas and symbols like that to a town meeting on healthcare." How awful! How could they do such a thing?!? What did she think about the "MOBS" in the the pictures below?
