The well being that arises from competition in a free society, where individual rights are protected, is the envy of the world. Your individual rights exist because you are human. It is government’s role to protect individual rights. This works, because we are all individuals!
Government controlled collectives — whether they involve banks, healthcare providers, car companies, or artificial carbon emission markets — are dangerous to your well being. We are quickly losing sight of the large iceberg drifting directly in front of our ship of state by overlooking historical events that foretell our future if we don't command a turn towards the U.S. Constitution.
In the mind of collectivists their plans are rooted in “doing good for all”. It is hard to argue against doing good, isn’t it? Well, as an intellectual exercise, one should consider that the leader and followers of the National Socialist German Workers’ Party were absolutely sure that good for all was what their plans and operations were all about.
Where are we headed, fellow PASSENGER?
Bad News Names - Socialists and Progressives (Leftists, ALL), think government is good -- The more the better! They believe people have only the rights allowed by the government and that government's job is to plan their subjects' lives (because government is smarter than you!), and then to make people follow "The Plan" for the good of one group or another. This does not work! Government is merely people; powerful, corruptible people. When working-people have the reward for their work taken from them through taxes, and then given to government-defined "needy people" in order to serve "The Plan", the result is more needy people, not fewer. After all, why work hard only to be brought down to the lifestyle of the needy by the government? Society stops working...Literally! Who is going to pay the huge debt used to implement "The Plan"? YOU and YOURS, that's who.
One Extreme Case - Because it takes persons of supreme self confidence to make wealth redistribution decisions, and because deviation from "The Plan" cannot be tolerated by the government, it is the political opportunist, the ethically corrupt, and the power fanatic that rises to positions of authority in leftist governments. After all, wasn't Adolf Hitler (of the National Socialist German Workers' Party {NAZI}), certain he was doing GOOD while millions of his subjects were sent to their deaths because they were not politically correct.
The Real American Way - The plan that is best is close to no plan at all! Rather, the well being that arises from competition in a free society where individual rights are protected is the envy of the world. Your individual rights exist because you are human.
